I installed it using 9-speed instructions I found on Shimano's website (along with my existing set of Tektro brakes and a brand new Shimano 9 speed CN-HG93 Ultegra chain. I secured the rear brake cable using Dia Compe clamps on ebay but couldn't find any for the shifter cable so I just used plenty of electrical tape. The shifter cable didn't have to be cut, it was already the perfect length.
