I have had many items made in Goa by several diferent tailors, the best one by far is Mac in the Nizma resort Calangute. I have had a leather jacke,and 4 lovely shirts made by Mac, they all fit superbly & the quality of the materials is excellent.

His leather shoes are really good also, I have bought 3 pairs. Other nice accessories that he sells are belts, ties, cufflinks etc. Alot of his customers are repeat guests and it is quite interesting to see some of his customers walk in with a pair of shorts & t-shirt on, go into the changing room & come out wearing a beautiful suit, shirt ties & shoes. From the initial meeting with him, he was the most humble man and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. I took pictures of what I had in mind and he listened to exactly what I wanted. His assistant was really lovely too. When I went back for the first fitting I was blown away, my drawings had become a reality and the dress was exactly what I wanted. How he did all this from a picture is beyond belief. We made a couple of small adjustments, which again was no trouble to him and when I returned for the final time I had the outfit that I wanted EXACTLY. The price too was very reasonable.

I had another outfit made there whilst I was on holiday and my husband had 2 shirts, all completely bespoke and fabulous. Mac is a very quiet, calm and charming man and I can't thank him enough for his exquisite workmanship. Same excellent service as before, nothing is too much trouble fir Mac and his team, a friendly welcome and then a full consultation of our needs and wants, plenty of fabrics on offer and suitable to all budgets saving a fortune on bespoke clothing compared to UK prices, us and our friends wasted no time in choosing and having our items made, went back to check for fit etc and every detail was checked and redone if needed. Each time I have clothes made by MAC not only do I feel great, but I also get compliments from others. Mahesh is a delight to work with. He and his team keep to time, though they would prefer not to be unduly hurried. After adjustments on the first check, the jackets and pants fit just right. MAC now has a pattern ready for me so that I can even order before I get to Goa. An important element of MAC is the superb variety of different fabrics he keeps in his shop.
