The problem i have after doing this is after adding these IPs to my 'add to list' in the APR tab and clicking on the APR button i find no IPs and i lag out of Xbox Live on my console.

A cable modem has an ip that rarely ever changes and would be used w/ a seperate router that has its own default ip that doesnt change (unless you change it), and a DSL modem (especially a modem/router combo) has an ip that changes every time you reset your connection. Cain probably does not recognize your modem/router as such, thats why nothing shows up under the configure tab. To be honest, I think thats your problem, and I dont know what you could do about it cause I dont think there is a way around it as long as you are using that modem. The only thing I can think of would be to contact with your ISP and see if they have a standalone modem not a combo.
